Giles has been a stockbroker almost all of his 30-plus year career in the investment and brokerage world. He trained in London at Kleinwort Benson and Albury Lund before joining the family firm of Albert E. Sharp, where he headed up the Institutional Department and helped build the Corporate and private Client Departments. He left Albert E. Sharp a year after it was acquired by Old Mutual and undertook a number of non-executive and consulting positions. As one of Albert E. Sharp’s major shareholders, Giles now serves as Chairman of the firm. He is a member of the Securities Institute.
